Love Offering to the Church

We offer this service for a voluntary donation (love offering) to the church to support our various ministries.

While the legal maximum is $10.00 per seal, your generosity is appreciated!

At the time of service, you can give via cash, check or Zelle.

What documents will we notarize?

  • Powers of Attorney (POA): General, Durable, Financial, and Medical POAs.

  • Trust Documents: Agreements establishing or amending a trust.

  • Advanced Medical Directives/Living Wills: Documents specifying end-of-life healthcare wishes.

  • Wills (Self-Proving Affidavit): While a Will itself often doesn't require notarization in Virginia, a separate Self-Proving Affidavit attached to the Will must be notarized to streamline the probate process.

  • Deeds:

    • Quitclaim Deeds (used to transfer property between family members or spouses).

    • Grant Deeds.

    • Deeds of Easement.

Contracts & Agreements: Simple business contracts, commercial agreements, and partnership agreements.

Corporate Resolutions: Formal decisions made by a corporation's board or members.

Promissory Notes: Written promises to repay a specific debt.

Vehicle Titles & Bills of Sale: Documents transferring ownership of cars, boats, or other titled property.

Beneficiary Designations: Forms designating beneficiaries for retirement or investment accounts.

  •  Affidavits: This is the most common document requiring a Jurat. It is a written statement of fact made under oath, often used for courts, insurance claims, or government filings. Examples include:

    • Affidavit of Residency / Domicile

    • Affidavit of Heirship

    • Affidavit of Identity Theft

    • Affidavit of Lost Title

  • Depositions / Interrogatories: Written testimony given under oath outside of court.

  • Witness Statements: Formal written statements related to an investigation or dispute.

Virginia allows you to certify a true copy of the original document, provided it is not a prohibited record.

  • Diplomas and Transcripts.
  • Leases and Contracts.
  • Bills of Sale.
  • General Business Records.

As a Notary Public, my role is to act as an impartial witness. Virginia law strictly prohibits me from engaging in certain activities:

  • 🚫 Do Not Give Legal Advice: I cannot select the type of notarial act you need, help you fill out the document, draft legal documents, or explain the content or legal effect of any document you bring. If you have legal questions, you must consult an attorney.
  • 🚫 Do Not Certify Prohibited Copies: I cannot certify copies of Vital Records (Birth, Death, or Marriage Certificates) or Court Records. These must be obtained directly from the issuing agency.
  • 🚫 Do Not Notarize Loan Signings: We do not handle complex loan packages (refinances, purchases, etc.), as this requires specialized training outside the scope of General Notary Work.
  • 🚫 Do Not Notarize Incomplete Documents: All blanks in the document must be filled in before the notarial act begins.
