Unity of Fairfax is having our first ever community cookout cook off this summer! It’ll be a time for neighbors and families to come out and enjoy the start of summer with food and games.
We are having a competition with caterers and YOU are the judges! Vote on samples provided by outstanding local caterers to give them a “People’s Choice” award. If you like what you taste, support the business and buy a full size.
Of course there will be hot dogs and hamburgers for the kiddos too.
It’ll be fun for the whole family!

Volunteer Roles
We have a few volunteer roles for the event! If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form.
Bag Stuffers - Help stuff Unity canvas bags with our information and sponsor flyers.
Setup Crew - Prepare the venue before the event including tables, chairs, cooking stations, games, and decorations
Cleanup Crew - Break down and clean up after the event, restore venue to original condition
Cooking Station Assistants - Help competitors at cooking stations with setup, supplies, and any needs during the competition
Cash Handlers - Collects payments on site
Registration/Check-in - Welcome and register attendees and competitors, distribute materials and information
Activities Coordinators - Supervise games and activities for kids and adults, ensure safety and engagement
Vote Counters/Judges Assistants - Help with the judging process and count vote
Floaters/General Support - Fill in where needed throughout the event, provide general assistance and support

Tickets are not refundable for this event.
Yes we will have designated parking spots for handicap needs.
Yes! If you are an independent caterer not with a restaurant storefront, you are welcome to register below to be a competitor.
Yes, if the weather is not good on June 7th, we will have the event on June 14th same time.
Yes! We have many volunteer roles to choose from.
