How to Zoom

How to join a Zoom meeting AND how to set up a Zoom meeting

If you have been invited to join an online church meeting or class using Zoom, there is a YouTube video, produced by the people at Zoom.us, that shows you how simple it is.

On the other hand, if you wish to set up your own Zoom meeting, there is a learning curve, but people who have done it say it's gets easier after the first time.

Considerations

The first consideration is how long your meeting will be:

  • If it's going to be 40 minutes or less, then you can use the free version of Zoom - hooray!

However, if your meeting must go over 40 minutes, you have a couple of choices:

  1. After 40 minutes, send out a new invitation to restart your meeting - a bit awkward but doable.
  2. Pay $15/month

How To

Here is a nineteen minute YouTube video with the nitty-gritty details specifically for churches:

You will want to go to Zoom.us and set up your Zoom account to get started.
