2 Saturdays:
October 28 & November 4
9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Please join your friends in this fun, hands-on class where YOU will digitize and create files for permanent records for viewing and sharing of your favorite family media. Your instructor, Midd Hunt of Unity of Fairfax, will provide you with all the information and equipment needed to take your – photo prints, 35mm slides, film negatives, VHS movies, 8mm movie films, cassette audio tapes, and original documents into the world of digital media. In class we will use a high-speed print scanner which can make short work of stacks of pictures up to 8½ × 11 inch size, producing standard .jpg
files. The high-speed scanner we will can digitize 30 prints in 30 seconds!
Your media will be recorded onto standard USB thumb drives which you can purchase separately and bring to class – any size up to (including) 32 GB will be fine.
Midd taught this class for years thru Fairfax County adult education program (ACE program) before COVID-19 closed the program; it was always a “sell out” at the eight participants we can accommodate per class. Let Midd know if you have any questions about any process you may be interested in for the class. Email him at: middhunt@comcast.net.
Digitized memories (USB stick, etc.) make perfect gifts!
This dynamic and memorable class will allow you to preserve precious memories for generations to come, and is a fundraiser for Unity of Fairfax with 100% of the proceeds designated to the church.
