Pre-School and Kindergarten Sunday School is based on the Wonderful World Curriculum.

Sunday School for Pre-School and Kindergarten

Unity of Fairfax combines Pre-School and Kindergarten aged children (3-1/2 to 6 years old) into one class. On any given Sunday, the class averages about 6 children.  

Classes are based on Unity's Wonderful World Curriculum.  This curriculum is based on Unity principles and values, and is designed to introduce young children to these concepts.  Some of the topics discussed in class are:  

• one's own individual uniquess, family
• prayer, creation in mind and in action
• the presence of God, oneness, diveresity
• love, compassion, patience, and joy

Class Activities

Each class consists of a greeting, a blessing, an offering, the lesson, an affirmation, a brief meditation, storytime, song, a snack, and a craft.  Class concludes with the recall of the affirmation, song and lesson.

In addition to the classroom, children have the opportunity to participate in special activities. In April, the class enjoyed a tour of the Meditation Garden where the children learned to identify plants, examined the bird house, and planted flowers. After services on Easter Sunday, the class participated in a traditional Easter Egg Hunt. Our Annual Block Party always features fun activities for children of all ages (see photo at left).
