During the month of March, the Compassionate Community Service team will collect supplies for the Lamb Center, a day shelter for the poor and homeless in Fairfax. The Lamb Center, located at 3160 Campbell drive in Fairfax, provides services such as as hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, haircuts, resume assistance, transportation, ID assistance, mail and message services, phone and computer access, and legal assistance. The first week of March, we will hand out grocery bags with a needs list attached. Volunteers can buy any of the items on the list and return bags to the Atrium. Some of the needs include coffee, creamer, sugar, cold drink mixes, salad drssing, canned fruit, cups of soup, pop tarts, instant oatmeal, cereal bars, bottled water, laundry detergent, bleach, deoderant, toothpaste, underwear, socks, thermal underwear, gloves, hats, trash bags, jeans, sweatpants, coats, belts, and more. A more detailed list will be attached to the bags.
