The Worship Team helps create smoothly running services, where everyone feels welcome.
Volunteers
Volunteers greet congregants at the entrance door, provide name tags, distribute bulletins, assist with seating, and collect love offerings.

Team Activity Update
Welcome Team and Worship Team Combined
Since many members of the Welcome Team are also members of the Worship Team, in 2012 we combined the two teams.
Ambassadors
Worship Team members are training to be "Ambassadors". Ambassadors hand out guest folders with carnations during the service and meet with guests after the services. They answer questions about Unity, ask guests to complete a gurest card and take guests to the bookstore to receive a gift

New Welcome Folder
A new multi-color folder replaces the blue guest bags that we formerly give to our guests during the Sunday services. Each folder contains an array of newly designed inserts. The first shipment of the colorful new folders and inserts arrived in January.
The new welcome folders were designed and prepared by a task force including the New Members Team, the Welcome/Worship Team, the Communications Team, church staff (Kim Reyes) and volunteers (Bev Nickens, Sheron Jones). Job well done - thank you!
Fifth Sunday Coverage
This year two months have five Sundays: March and June. The fifth Sunday in March is Easter Sunday and there will be only one service.
WORSHIP TEAM MEMBERSHIP: Please volunteer for the 10:00 AM Easter Sunday service on March 31. The Worship Team does not assist with the 7 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service.
Normally on fifth Sundays, the Y.O.U. (Youth of Unity) provides a Worship Team for 11 a.m. services. However for 2013 Easter Sunday, many of the high school age Y.O.U. members will be on school break.
For the fifth Sunday in June, Lisa Swinnerton will coordinate a Y.O.U. Worship Team for the 11:00 AM service. If a full six member team Y.O.U. is not available, adult Worship Team members may be requested to support the Y.O.U.. Regular Worship Team members are invited to check with Lisa on fifth Sundays to determine if additional adult participation is needed.
Membership Opportunities
Becoming a member of the Worship Team provides great value for you and Unity of Fairfax. Team members have the opportunity to greet people attending the services and to meet with fellow team members. Members of the Worship Team Member support the ministers and the congregation by helping services run smoothly.The Worship Team welcomes new members for one-service-a-month assignments or to be on stand-by as alternates. Although the greatest need for new team members is with the 9:00 AM services, new members and alternates are welcomed for both services.
