Greetings,
About 17 years ago, I found Unity on a tiny island in the Pacific Ocean. At that time, I had no church…only an eclectic belief in a God of my own understanding. I had never believed in the reality of Satan nor had I ever accepted the idea that somehow, I was responsible for the death of Jesus over 2,000 years ago. I had always believed it was my own ignorance that caused my mistakes and my suffering, and that I was responsible for that, not God. I believed that through learning, I could alter my course in life and my experience of life, and that God was always present, teaching me all things.
It was no mistake I found Unity. I had no idea a church existed that could accommodate my custom-made beliefs and even reinforce them! If you feel as though you and your beliefs are on a tiny island in the middle of the Washington D.C. area, then perhaps you are being led to the right place. Many people feel as though they have come home as soon as they experience our worship services or any other activity that brings them to our doorstep.
At Unity of Fairfax, we offer a welcoming, safe environment to explore one’s own relationship with God in a community of like-minded individuals. We do not condemn anything but affirm the healing of everything through the power of love and acceptance. We seek to be of service, to experience the joy of living, the wonder of loving, and the miracles produced by faith.
I have been the minister of Unity of Fairfax for over ten years, and it is my joy to serve this church of spiritually mature people seeking to experience God more deeply in their lives. If you are ready to awaken to the spiritual power within you as a multifaceted expression of God’s presence in the world, come join us. We’re expecting you.
Blessings,
Rev. Donna Johnson
