In addition, we still have scholarship openings. We have opened the scholarship window to special circumstances as well as students. CALENDAR OF EVENTS March 4, 2010

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
TRANSFORMATIONAL EXPERIENCE WORKSHOP – Our second weekend workshop in the Transformational Experience Pilot Program will be March 19th, 7-9:30, and Saturday, March 20, 9-4:30 facilitated by our consultant guide Lin O’Neill. We will be charting our genogram – a social and psychological history of Unity of Fairfax.

MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION – Sunday, March 14th, 12:30-2:00 with Rev. Donna in the sanctuary. Learn the history of Unity, the history of Unity of Fairfax, and review pertinent information in the by-laws. This workshop is a requirement for membership. All are welcome.

UNITY VILLAGE SILENT RETREAT – Our winter retreat, at Unity Village, MO, led by Rev. Donna, was rescheduled to April 23-25th. Two spaces for the retreat are available. If you are interested in learning more about this meditative service weekend, please contact Mary Quattro at 703-361-1978 or mkquattro@juno.com Registration forms are available in the atrium.

ASSOCIATION OF UNITY CHURCHES INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE’S CONFERENCE – June 7-11th at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, CA. Early bird registration deadline is Feb. 25th. Join us as we hear from the author of Enlightened Leadership, Doug Krug. Cindy Wigglesworth is also back by popular demand. We'll consider the idea of organic community, and how to create it, with Joseph Myers. Come, enjoy the spiritual food offered by Barbara Marx Hubbard and Drs. SPIRITUAL SOCIAL ACTION
Unity of Fairfax has one more opportunity to provide a dinner for 30-40 homeless residents in Fairfax County next Sunday, March 14th. We will be providing a taco salad dinner for Sunday night, 3/14, and breakfast and lunch for the following Monday. We need 12-15 volunteers to make a taco salad or dessert. We also need other volunteers to purchase other supplies like breakfast bars, juices, bread, lunch meat and cheese for 80 sandwiches, etc. Gayle provides an up to date tally of needed supplies once you are on her hpp email roster. We need 3-4 volunteers to help serve on Sunday night. Servers will meet at the church at 4:30 on Sunday, March 14th, to pack their vehicle and drive over to the shelter which is located in Reston. The meal is served at 6:00 p.m. We can usually leave by 7:30 p.m. If interested, please contact Gayle (obcua81@hotmail.com) or Laurie (laurie.warhol@loudoun.gov or call 703 817-1262). Thank you everyone for your continued generosity.

BEPEACE - The BePeace Foundations Course is March 29-April 2. Deadline for registration is March 17th. Be empowered to “feel peace” and “speak peace” with easy to learn techniques. SPIRITUAL LIBERATION – Tuesdays, March 2-30th 7-9 p.m. in the sanctuary. Join Rev. Donna for this provocative class that explores our spiritual potential. Learn to integrate and activate the divinity inherent within you. May be taken as an elective course for SEE credit and is given on a love offering basis.

METAPHYSICS I, Part 1 – Learn how fundamental principles of spiritual law can be applied to your life. Study the works of prominent Unity writers as well as specific metaphysical and theological viewpoints. Join Rev. Sandy for this exciting class Wednesdays, March 3-31, 7-9pm. In the sanctuary. Love offering basis. Books available in the bookstore. SEE credit. Be prepared to work!

UNITY BASICS – Will be held between services at 10:10 - 10:45. Information will be covered on one Principle a week. Any one is welcome. Attending all 5 classes of the Unity Basic Principles is a requirement for membership. This class will be facilitated by licensed teachers Kitty Crawford and Nancy Star.

2ND TIER CIRCLE – Sundays between services, 10:10-10:50 a.m. in classroom 5. For the next several weeks, we compare BePeace and the wisdom of the Tao Te Ching. Love-offering basis. Facilitator: Steve Marcom.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES – Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. in classroom 7. Facilitated by Bryan Jones. For information call 703-368-1486.

GROUPS:
MEN'S GROUP - Meets Mondays at 7-9 p.m. in the library. All men welcome. No drop-ins--prospective members must first contact Richard Keelor at 571-334-2142. (Alternate contact: Tom McDonald, 703-476-2355).

CALENDAR OF EVENTS March 4, 2010

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
TRANSFORMATIONAL EXPERIENCE WORKSHOP – Our second weekend workshop in the Transformational Experience Pilot Program will be March 19th, 7-9:30, and Saturday, March 20, 9-4:30 facilitated by our consultant guide Lin O’Neill. We will be charting our genogram – a social and psychological history of Unity of Fairfax.

MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION – Sunday, March 14th, 12:30-2:00 with Rev. Donna in the sanctuary. Learn the history of Unity, the history of Unity of Fairfax, and review pertinent information in the by-laws. This workshop is a requirement for membership. All are welcome.

UNITY VILLAGE SILENT RETREAT – Our winter retreat, at Unity Village, MO, led by Rev. Donna, was rescheduled to April 23-25th. Two spaces for the retreat are available. If you are interested in learning more about this meditative service weekend, please contact Mary Quattro at 703-361-1978 or mkquattro@juno.com Registration forms are available in the atrium.

ASSOCIATION OF UNITY CHURCHES INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE’S CONFERENCE – June 7-11th at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, CA. Early bird registration deadline is Feb. 25th. Join us as we hear from the author of Enlightened Leadership, Doug Krug. Cindy Wigglesworth is also back by popular demand. We'll consider the idea of organic community, and how to create it, with Joseph Myers. Come, enjoy the spiritual food offered by Barbara Marx Hubbard and Drs. SPIRITUAL SOCIAL ACTION
Unity of Fairfax has one more opportunity to provide a dinner for 30-40 homeless residents in Fairfax County next Sunday, March 14th. We will be providing a taco salad dinner for Sunday night, 3/14, and breakfast and lunch for the following Monday. We need 12-15 volunteers to make a taco salad or dessert. We also need other volunteers to purchase other supplies like breakfast bars, juices, bread, lunch meat and cheese for 80 sandwiches, etc. Gayle provides an up to date tally of needed supplies once you are on her hpp email roster. We need 3-4 volunteers to help serve on Sunday night. Servers will meet at the church at 4:30 on Sunday, March 14th, to pack their vehicle and drive over to the shelter which is located in Reston. The meal is served at 6:00 p.m. We can usually leave by 7:30 p.m. If interested, please contact Gayle (obcua81@hotmail.com) or Laurie (laurie.warhol@loudoun.gov or call 703 817-1262). BEPEACE - The BePeace Foundations Course is March 29-April 2. Deadline for registration is March 17th. Be empowered to “feel peace” and “speak peace” with easy to learn techniques. SPIRITUAL LIBERATION – Tuesdays, March 2-30th 7-9 p.m. in the sanctuary. Join Rev. Donna for this provocative class that explores our spiritual potential. Learn to integrate and activate the divinity inherent within you. May be taken as an elective course for SEE credit and is given on a love offering basis.

METAPHYSICS I, Part 1 – Learn how fundamental principles of spiritual law can be applied to your life. Study the works of prominent Unity writers as well as specific metaphysical and theological viewpoints. Join Rev. Sandy for this exciting class Wednesdays, March 3-31, 7-9pm. In the sanctuary. Love offering basis. Books available in the bookstore. SEE credit. Be prepared to work!

UNITY BASICS – Will be held between services at 10:10 - 10:45. Information will be covered on one Principle a week. Any one is welcome. Attending all 5 classes of the Unity Basic Principles is a requirement for membership. This class will be facilitated by licensed teachers Kitty Crawford and Nancy Star.

2ND TIER CIRCLE – Sundays between services, 10:10-10:50 a.m. in classroom 5. For the next several weeks, we compare BePeace and the wisdom of the Tao Te Ching. Love-offering basis. Facilitator: Steve Marcom.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES – Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. in classroom 7. Facilitated by Bryan Jones. For information call 703-368-1486.

GROUPS:
MEN'S GROUP - Meets Mondays at 7-9 p.m. in the library. All men welcome. No drop-ins--prospective members must first contact Richard Keelor at 571-334-2142. (Alternate contact: Tom McDonald, 703-476-2355).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Volunteers are needed to run PowerPoint during Sunday services. Training is provided and the schedule is flexible. Please contact the church office if interested @ 703-281-1767.
