Special Events: There are special events where guest speakers are invited to present here at Unity of Fairfax. These may involve the purchase of a ticket.
Ongoing Training Events: The third type of event is ongoing. This means the class is held on a weekly basis at a set time and place.

12th ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY AND SILENT AUCTION!!
Save Saturday, September 13th for a day of fun and fellowship at Unity of Fairfax! Be an Early Bird Donor! Donate to the Silent Auction by July 27th and have a chance to win a seat at the Early Bird Dinner with/by Rev. Donna. Six lucky donors will be drawn at random from all donations received by Sunday July 27th. Rev. Donna will host a dinner at a time that works for all winning Early Birds. ANDREW HARVEY AT UNITY OF FAIRFAX
Andrew Harvey will be at Unity of Fairfax for two days in August presenting A Journey into Divine Love. He is a renowned and distinguished mystical scholar, Rumi translator and explicator, poet, novelist, spiritual teacher and writer, and architect of Sacred Activism. His two-day schedule is as follows:
Friday, August 1, 7-9:30pm; ticket $25
Saturday, August 2, 9am-5pm; ticket $60

“LIGHTEN UP” ~ UNITY COMMUNITY COMEDY NIGHT!
Friday, Aug. 29, 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Tickets $20 at the door, 16 and under free. Let your inner ham come out and play! Join the choir, New Day, our 3 ministers, Debi Smith and others by performing a monologue, joke session, song or skit! Please contact Carole Tomhave by Sunday, Aug. 3 to be included as a solo act or in a group number! We are also seeking stage crew and a PPT operator for the evening, if you’d like to be involved from offstage. |

IT’S RETREAT TIME!
Our annual fall retreat will be held at Capon Springs, Friday evening, Sept. 5th – Sunday, Sept. 7th. and will facilitated by Mary Quattro, Unity of Fairfax member and founder of Chrysalis Retreat Center. The theme is based on the work of Kent Nerburn and his book, "Small Graces". Kent describes his book as "discovering the quiet gifts of everyday life." Through the use of journaling, song, prayer and meditation, as well as small group discussion and community activities and sharing, you will explore the simple ways that every person can chart a course each day that nourishes the soul, honors the body, and engages the mind. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
Come join with Unity churches worldwide for Unity’s annual World Day of Prayer. A 24-hr. prayer vigil will begin in the sanctuary at 7pm on Wednesday, Sept. 10th and conclude with a closing ceremony at 6:30pm, Thursday, Sept. 11th. In addition to silent prayer and meditation, the labyrinth will be available for walking. This year, the prayer vigil will be followed with the observance of “11 Days of Global Peace’” ending on September 21st, the International Day of Peace. |

A place where men can speak freely and gain support from other men on life and spiritual issues. Also, they will find acceptance in an atmosphere of brotherhood where everyone is a facilitator.
