EVENTS:
SPIRITUAL SOCIAL ACTION - The Hypothermia Prevention Program, sponsored by Reston Interfaith, is a program which provides a drop-in shelter and meals for approximately 30 homeless adults from December 1 –March 30 each year. We will provide and serve dinner on Sunday, February 5th and Sunday, March 4th and provide breakfast and bag lunches for the next day. Volunteers are needed to make and serve the dinner, and purchase breakfast items, food and materials to make the bag lunches. For February 5th, the dinner will be chicken and rice. We need 8-10 cooks to make enough to feed 30 hungry people. Don’t worry, we have a recipe! If interested in cooking, serving (must be over 18), or buying the items needed to make this project a success, please e-mail Laurie Warhol (laurie.warhol@loudoun.gov) and Jackie Fuller (Interfaith1017@aol.com) for further information. You can also stop by the Unity bookstore to talk to Jackie or Laurie on most Sundays.
